Born from known biker bar greatness
It was sunny today, so I decided to go check out North Point’s new outdoor stage and patio area. If any of you remember Aces and Eights that used to be in Czech Village, you might also be familiar with North Point. After Aces closed, the former owner Mike Flack took over as the General Manager of North Point and built the new business from scratch.
Mike’s favorite food that they serve at North Point is the taco pizza, and he is also proud of their wings. I ordered both of those items so that we could get some great pictures and show off the food from North Point.
The Wings and Taco Pizza
If you like wings, you can probably tell from the pictures that these are some pretty big ones by most standards. They are available with BBQ raspberry, regular BBQ, sweet and spicy BBQ, teriyaki, buffalo, hot habanero or ghost pepper sauces.
Best Taco Pizza around
The taco pizza comes with beef, sausage, lettuce, tomato, black olives, onions, and taco chips. All of these toppings come on a thin-style crust. I have personally spent a lot of time at North Point, and I see enough people getting the pizza to know that it must be a crowd favorite. They do have a big menu, so if pizza is not your thing, you still have a ton of other options. The tenderloins, burgers, nachos, and chicken sandwiches seem to be popular picks as well.
Why Bikers love North Point
During the summer, you will see lots of bikers at North Point. They have plenty of parking for bikes, and their new patio addition would be the perfect place for a large group of bikers to have a good time. The new stage they just built is going to allow for some really cool outdoor concerts this summer.
I have always known North Point as being one of the better places in town to see live music.
Mike is from a musical family, and every Saturday his dad Mike Sr. can be found playing the old country and rock music inside the large back bar area. Mike Jr. is well known around here for his band 8 Seconds, and they regularly perform at North Point.
If you enjoy playing bags, North Point is the place to go. They have a huge back room that allows them to have indoor bags tournaments during the winter, and the new patio allows for an even bigger playing area when the weather is right. With the way the interior of this bar is sectioned off, they can have multiple entertainment options going on at one time. Every time I go there, I usually see people playing bags, a band or acoustic act playing live music, or both.
