Two drivers had to be taken to the hospital after a car-on-motorcycle accident at the intersection of West Fulliam Avenue and Westfield Drive in Muscatine, Iowa last Sunday, November 15 at around 12:10 p.m.
According to preliminary investigations made by the Muscatine police, a 1999 Yamaha motorcycle operated by 39-year-old Muscatine resident Harold Kemper, Jr. was headed east on West Fulliam Avenue when it collided with the 2014 Hyundai driven by 62-year-old fellow Muscatine local Blaine Curry at the intersection of Westfield Drive in Muscatine.
Both Kemper and Curry were taken via ambulance to Trinity Hospital in Muscatine, with Kemper having to be airlifted later to the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City to seek treatment for his severe injuries.
The Iowa State Patrol is conducting further investigations into the incident.
