The trial date for a Mason City, Iowa resident who is suspected for the death of a motorcyclist was originally re-scheduled for late February but now has been moved again all the way to May, KIMT reported on February 11.
Victor Rivera is facing charges of vehicular homicide, operating while intoxicated, and leaving the scene of an accident in the crash that claimed the life of Jefferson Davis.
According to police who investigated the incident, Rivera had been driving a pickup truck when he crashed into Davis’ motorcycle at the intersection of South Pierce Avenue and Highway 122 on Nov. 22, 2014, instantly killing Davis.
Court documents showed that Rivera’s trial date, which was moved to Tuesday, February 24, was moved further to May 12. The pre-trial hearing is now scheduled for April 28.
