Thirty-year-old Fort Dodge, Iowa resident Mitchell Frank was critically wounded last Sunday, November 9 at around 3 p.m. when an airborne motorcycle struck him at an off-road park at Gypsum City OHV Park.

According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Frank was assisting a younger rider near the track when another motorcycle landed on top of him. The motorbike, which was being operated by an juvenile driver, landed on Frank. He was rushed to a Des Moines hospital and is currently recuperating after surgeons treated his serious head injury from where the motorcycle’s peg struck him.
